We had 40 people in our group too. It was great diving and eating with the same 20 people...really got to know them over the week. What is the BFE? I know what that acronym is but not sure how you mean it.
BFE= Big Fish Encounter which is what they call their "shark dive", And that's all we saw were "BIG FISH" but no Tiger or Bull Sharks. The third boat that went out got to see some Bulls but no Tigers.

We saw a couple big Bulls but they said the Tigers hadn't been there for a couple months. Here's one of the pics a photographer in our group took.

Great pix Michelle! I hope to invade the south Pacific next year or so, for now an occasional visit to the North Pacific will have to do. I did get in a few dives in the Maya Riviera a couple weeks ago though...

If my trip in September '06 is anything to go by, you get about 5 -8 species of shark that close to you. Silvertips, Bulls, Reef sharks, Nurse sharks, Lemons, perhaps even a Tiger if you are lucky.
The Silvertips really are the most beautiful things to see at arms reach. 3.5 meters of shark just inches away, just cruising past...

FishEye Scuba in Folsom FishEye Scuba is doing a trip to Beqa Lagoon Resort in Fiji Beqa Lagoon Resort in April 2009 if anyone is interested.. The trip is AI (except alcohol) and includes RT airfare from LAX.
The owners, Tom & Kate Fuquay, are 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet and are alot of fun to dive with. A nice part about this trip is you can put a small deposit down and pay the rest in increments until it's paid off. That sure makes it alot easier on the wallet.
