Great shots, thanks for sharing. My wife is leaning towards Fiji for this fall but we're looking land-based since she doen't dive.

Any sites that you felt really leaned to WA or Macro?

Our divemaster gave advice on that before each dive. However, it was really hit-or-miss because great macro subjects come up on every dive, and the tides and visibility don't always cooperate when you dive a site with great wide angle possibilities. Right now is late-summer in Fiji when the visibility is at its worst due to plankton blooms. While we had a few dives with 60-70 foot vis, 40 feet was more typical. My previous trip to Fiji was over New Year's and we had much better vis then.

Still, there are a few sites where you are likely to see pelagics (Nigali Passage, off the Wakaya wall) or great soft coral coverage (rainbow wall on Mount Mutiny, Mellow Yellow) were you'll really want the wide angle if the conditions allow.

I'm thankful to have wet mount lenses so I don't have to make that decision ahead of time. I can (and did) shoot 8 foot sharks and spotted cleaner shrimp in the same dive. Alas, I wasn't ready for the manta that passed right over us at one point.

The Aggressor and the Naia both visit a few of the same sites. They usually coordinate by radio to avoid crowding sites, but we ended up in sight of each other on two different days on this trip.
