I started out to thank the Shearwater girls, Trisha and Allison for their great donations, and especially for the Shearwater computer I was awarded in the photo competition.
That was quite a surprise!!

The more I think about it, the more I realize just how much Thanks we owe Dennis, cardzard, and Roxanne, for not only putting this entire trip together, but even more for pulling it off despite some very unpleasant surprises!

Few of us could, or would have been able to keep things working under those extremely difficult circumstances, as you did!

You "guys" Rock!

Yes! I had a great time, and Dennis and Roxanne were good role models in staying positive and not letting the whole thing turn into a big bitchfest. Only speaking for myself, I really didn't run into very many issues.

I survived, and that’s the important thing. To top this trip off, Gail’s car was hit badly in the parking lot at the airport. The best meal I had was at the Waffle House in Naples in the drive home from Miami. First hot meal in a week. Sooooo good. I’ll post a full review soon.

Gotta say the best part of our shortened week was the puddlejumper flight from the resort to the main airport. The reason for the flight sucked but the views were amazing. Turneffe Atoll from 2000 feet is gorgeous.
Most importantly, James arrived home safe and sound and we avoided a visit to a Belize hospital. There will be other dive trips (we have one already planned in 6 weeks) and we now know how to be better prepared.

You can know it would not be me. I usually will do my very best to be standing Behind a camera, rather than pose for pics.

My favorite memories of the 2025 SB Belize Invasion.... hmmmm....
First, has to be how, despite many complications, disappoinments, and unmet expectations, we enjoyed another GREAT SB Invasion!
Next, the diving was awesome (Dennis and Roxanne do not take us where the diving is mediocre), and so were the SB divers who we dived with, and the dive captains, 1st mates and DMs who I dealt with, who all did a great job.
The staff really did their best to help us, and make our stay a vacation, despite the "resort" resembling what one online review called a "post apocalyptic setting". Staff did the their best with the limited resources they had available, which leaves a much warmer memory of our stay than if all we left with was the full taste of Hakim the Arrogant's bait and switch.
Finally, I cannot say that winning the photo challenge, and the Peregrine TX + Transmitter, will not be one of my best memories of SB Belize Invasion 2025!

Thank you every single person who participated, in making this memorable, despite the odds we faced upon arrival!
