And strangely I have a craving for beans for breakfast this morning šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

Loved the people and the time underwater! Including the bonus last super about a dozen of us had Saturday night.

Didn't love 11 hours in the Belize airport, a shuttle to the Best Western, almost a shuttle to another hotel when they ran out of rooms at the BW, then doing everything all over on Sunday. But we're home, and the cat that was sick when we left survived. He is happy to be back in his own home with his servants.

Jim is spot-on. A "bait and switch" is fraud perpetrated by a vendor. Outside reviews have nothing to do with it. The resort was not as advertised, so "bait and switch" is very accurate. And I LOVE the "Hakin the Arrogant" moniker, Jim. A perfect fit! Thanks to Dennis for keeping Sir's cigar smoke away from our meals after that first day. I was wondering how much trouble I'd be in if I told him to put it our or he'd have to remove it from his anal orifice...

Will called BDH "summer camp for divers" - which seems pretty accurate. Summer camp isn't luxe, but it's a lot of fun!

All in all, it was a great week for all of the important reasons: good company/great people, beautiful diving and lots of it, and a getaway to a gorgeous Caribbean locale! Dennis and Roxanne ROCK!!:clapping:
And people are dumb enough to buy swampland in FL. Btw at summer camp I would have hit food and a variety. This was much worse than any summer camp I’ve been to.

Monday midday and I’m finally home - just got to weather the 7 hour jet lag.

Forgetting the resort, I’ll remember the people I was with, that’s what makes the SB experience. Unlikely to make the ā€˜surge’, but looking to bring another diver next June.

A big thank you to Dennis & Roxanne from across the pond.

Always fun! Except for those damn bot flys!

Great diving and chatting with you last week, Edward! It's the people who make the Invasions great experiences - we go for the camaraderie; the resort is an added bonus (although less so this year).

Thank you so much, Dennis and Roxanne, for all the hard work you put in, both behind the scenes and throughout the trip. Another thank you to all of our new friends who helped us to make such great memories.

Angela and I are so glad we decided to join all of you on this grand adventure. Despite a few unexpected bumps along the way, we had an absolutely amazing time. What really stood out to us was the wonderful group of people. Everyone was so friendly and fun to hang out with, it truly made the trip special.

As newer divers, we were a bit nervous at first, but by the end we were already talking about more training and future dive trips! We can’t wait to see everyone again next year.

Wishing you all the best,
Roderick & Angela

Can anyone tell me how long it will take for the theme song to Gilligan's Island to quit playing in my head?! I can't believe we escaped the island in time for me to catch my flight, although some of us were a little soggy upon arrival to the airport. And I'm going to Cozumel for sure in January. See you there!

Great diving with both of you as well! You’re doing great for being so newly certified. Believe me, any other trips with SCUBA Board will be in MUCH nicer resorts, and we still have the same fun people more or less.

Though I’d love to do Cozumel in January, I’m not sure because we have our planned birthday cruise coming up in early February - our birthdays are three days apart, and mine will be the big 7-0 (how did I get to be this old?). Will is still a spring chicken because he’ll be ā€œonlyā€ 69. But definitely going to jump on the Dominican Republic next year!

Trust me ā€œA three hour tourā€¦ā€ was in my head when the first big boat broke down… I was humming that tune for a couple days.
