I have only done about a half dozen dives at Paradise at night and like DjDan I've never been given the option of going anywhere else so I kinda lost interest. Funny thing though, it's never occurred to me to request to go anywhere else. I guess I must of thought (incorrectly) that in Coz it's Paradise or nothing. Now that I know that there may be options I'll certainly ask for some or rally the troops for a group request. Paradise can get congested at times so a few new sites would certainly rekindle my fire for night dives in Coz. Glad I found this thread! Thanks.

Biggest regret, probably only regret of my trip to Coz last May was not getting in a night dive. There is always next time :).

Honestly, I have never had a BAD night dive in Cozumel. The fishlife is always great, crabs and octopus and eels out everywhere, lobsters walking around.

The only reason Paradise can be a difficult night dive is the traffic.... last trip to Cozumel there were possible 6-8 boats there when we arrived. We waited until all the others were already in, then our DM took us away from the crowd. It was very cool watching all the dive lights darting around, like a scary movie almost! But it was one of my favorite dives of the trip as there were zillions of things walking around to see and take photos of by my husband. We found 3 different types of lobster, first time on a single dive.

and so many eels and octopus out! Yeah, lots of people there but there is a REASON.

Also, the shore at SCC is a great night dive and we always do 2-3 night dives there per trip.

I love to night dive Chankanaab Shallows and Paradise (when not crowded). Some day I would love to try Columbia Shallows- that has to be a great night dive!
