Are sure the issue isn't server related?

From my experiance, VB causes alot of this errors on servers especially when they have alot of users. The reason being it is very well optimised. Forums like PHPBB and Invision Power Board are much better.

I haven't Administrated VB but I assuming that you can link it to postgresql and mysql?

Which Database server are you using?

Haven't seen one of the locks in a long time...?

And I'd hate to change servers.

This is hosted by a server, then there are something like sub servers that run databases, ftp and other such things. I think its the forum software personally.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions, however, the purpose of this thread is to sort out this error, not speculate on our software vendor. Should anyone encounter this error please report it by starting a new thread or sending me a message directly. Thank you for your understanding.
