First I'm going to Cairns and diving the Nimrod with a group. Then I'm going by my lonesome to Sydney to see my mates, Almitywife and Carl. Hey, if you want to go back in 2009, I probably will because I know I will love it. Can't do it next year though.

"Mates". Hehehhehehe, she is already picking up on the local lingo :) Maybe '09 but I would like to go before. Way before, if I can help it.

gotta like visitors.... at least they leave!!!! :rofl3:

:rofl3::rofl3: Didn't you ever see The Man Who Came to Dinner? :rofl3::rofl3: But of course I will have to return home to take care of my cats. The kid? Well, he's 18 now and to quote him "I am an adult now." :rofl3::rofl3:

Picking up hubby's T-Shirt tomm. :D I know you said you don't want a gift from the States but I'm still looking for something special for you. :lotsalove:

oh hubby would love a US dive tee :multi:....... hes such a tee tart! has more wardrobe space than i do!!

general plan im thinking is

Thur:
double shore dive at Kurnell, conditions permitting for weedy sea dragons, big blue gropers, nudies, frog fish and hopefully a moray if we can find one then a lunchish bbq, a trip back to the lds for fills

Fri:
double shore dive at Bare Island, conditions permitting for big blue groper, pygmie lion fish, nudies, sea horses and if we are lucky we might find the pygmie seahorses but in all my years ive only ever found 2 but we can try (they are really tiny!), a relaxing La Peruse lunch (maybe the boat shed cafe), back to the shop for fills

Sat:
boat dive if the grey nurse sharks are in, might be a double-not sure otherwise we will throw you in somewhere else for a dive :D and then in the arvo at Featherdale wildlife park so you can get your fill of some aussie critters :D

Sat night:
night dive & picnic at either clovelly or clifton gardens

Sun:
early morning dive around manly nets for seahorses then hubby can choof off home while we get the manly ferry over to Circular Quay/Sydney and explore the Rocks & Darling Harbour on foot before catching the river cat to Parramatta and hubby can pick us up :D (good hubby). this will give you your 24hrs break before your flight

and somewhere in the middle of that Neetski will take you off for a night trip thru sydney in her turbo charged shopping trolley (or the sportscar as the salesman that sold it to her said) and speak up if there is anything else you wanna do

we do have to pm about getting you from the airport to our place... i cant get anymore time off work so cant pick you up im sorry but i will pm you some bus shuttle companies that will get you here....

actually, pm me your flight details so i can make some calls on monday and let you know - as i said, i will come home, unlock the house so you can shower, relax and settle in on your own for a few hours :D

wow - its starting to come together

edit: oh, what do you use, yoke or din??? i have about 8 tanks but they are all DIN so ive assumed you are yoke and will be getting tanks from the dive shop for your visit :D

Oh geeze. I've gone through all this before and I totally forget. I'm pretty sure I do have a yoke valve. I have a scubapro reg. The DIN is the one with the really big hole, right. I know I'm a dork.:dork2:

It's like when I'm rinsing out my BC I can never remember whether to push the deflate or inflate button to get the water inside. Oy.

hehheeh - the DIN is kinda like a big bolt that you screw into the reg and a yoke is a thingy (thats a technical term btw) that goes over the reg

Yoke:

(actually this is a din to yoke converter but if this looks like what you have on your regs then you have yoke)

That's a yoke mate. LOL
Got hubby's shirt. It doesn't say New Jersey on it though:( It was from my LDS's tour. It does have the name of my LDS though. I hope it's ok. They don't seem to have shirts with their name on it.
