I'm a Fish!
I was at the dive shop today getting my tank filled (and bought another one too) and the owner suggested I remove this big "caution" sticker that was plastered on the tank to prevent corrosion etc. So I did exactly that on my older tank (1 month old) as soon as I got home, of course after I had it peeled half way off I noticed it had a big notice on it that said do not remove or alter this sticker (oops!). I'm guessing that really doesn't matter and that I should probably remove the other one? Much to my surprise right underneath the sticker were two small corrosion marks/stains!

The only thing this sticker really says is a bunch of jumbo about not over filling, that it is O2 cleaned at the factory, don't store above 125 degrees, clean thoroughly after use, and about a dozen other pretty "duh" types of things.

What do you think? Peel the other one off and prevent corrosion and damage or listen to the sticker that says don't remove? I'm guessing this is more along the lines of the do not remove mattress tags.

Delete your post ASAP. Do not publicly admit to doing anything. Removing those stickers is the same as removing the tag on a mattress. As soon as you - the tag police will show up and slap you silly. Then they will confiscate your cylinder and your mattress. Good luck mate hope you have some good legal council. And if they get you off remember now that those tags are gone yer gonna die (not too mention get a bad nights sleep).

Yeah, better just mail that cylinder off to me before you get in some real trouble.

Yeah, hmm good point. You're in LA do you just want to drive over here in pick it up? I really don't want anything bad to happen like having it blow up or anything.. Oh and btw I went ahead and pulled the sticker off the new one I bought too better get that one while you're here. Hopefully you can do something useful with them! :eyebrow::rofl3:

Good luck getting a vip now!
But really... lets not be silly... nobody takes the tags off of their mattresses. How would they get to sleep without them?

Just imagine how much corrosion those Nitrox wraps are causing!

Even less so, I think the bedding thing is rooted in a regulation somewhere. The less on the cylinders the better. No good will come from having them on there so get the blow dryer out and peel away. Everything permanent that anyone needs to know is beat into the crown.

Lose every sticker you can.
You LDS will tell you the minimums.
Nitrox wraps are pretty much an endangered species in SoFla.
Chug
Thinks stickers are for mini vans.
