Faber 95's Decode Marking Help

I just received 2 tanks (Scubapro/Faber 95's) from someone. I thought i was ok decoding the markings on tanks till i seen these tanks. Any help would be nice.

1st line: FABER M8303 98/8524 082

2nd line: TC- 3AAM 184/001-3AA-2400 REE73

Also has: 03A98+

Probably useless to you....but here goes

1st line: FABER (hmmmm....) M 8303(8303 is a faber cylinder) 98/8524 (date of manufacture in 98 I think) 082

2nd line: TC (transport canada) - 3AAM (3AAM is Chrome Molybedebum Steel (metric)) 184/001-3AA (3AA is chrome molybedebum steel)-2400 (the tanks working pressure) REE (REE is REJECTED ELASTIC EXPANSION(used by the hydro test facility) 73

the + at the end probably means its rated for a 10% over pressure (good until its next hydro) the 03A98 is probably its year of manufacture (98 would be my guess)

2nd line: TC- 3AAM 184/001-3AA-2400 REE73 TC (TRANSPORT CANADA)-3AAM TC ALLOY SPEC 184=bar (pressure rating in Canada) REE is the Rejected Elastic Expansion whisch is used in the hydro process and needs to be known or calculated to get the DOT + rating. Before they put this stamping on many hydro facilities lacked the math skills to figure it out, so they would not give a + rating to qualified cylindersAlso has: 03A98+ hydro date-(March 1998)the A if you look closely is a stylized A for Arrowhead hydro-they are an independent company that almost every cylinder manufacturer uses to independently hydro cylinders as manufacturers are no allowed to hydro their own cylinders. The first line identifies Faber as the manufactuer.

I thank you so much. There is one part I still can not figure out. I was told it was a 95cf tank but I dont see a S95 on it. Does Faber tanks not have the size listed?

Faber as a rule did not mark cf volume on their tanks. When Sea Pearls and XS Scuba distributed Faber we had them include the cf volume in our "part number" code which was stamped on the cylinder i.e. SP95 for Sea Pearls or XS95 for XS Scuba

Lee, Mine says "Sea Pearls HP 100 WH"
I assume that means it is a 100 cubic foot tank, but what does "WH" mean?

WH is nothing I specified when the cylinder was made. Is it painted WHite?

A Faber LP 95 Should be 23.8" long without the valve and 8" in diameter it should also weigh 37.2 pounds. If your tank measures something different then you have a something other than what you think you have!!
