I have been offered 2 120 cubic ft steel tanks for a very good price. My question is this they are heavier and have differnt buoyancy numbers. These are 45 pounds and have a full negative buoyancy of 15 1/2 pounds and an empty negative buoyancy of 6 1/2 pounds. I normally wear 16 pounds with a steel 100. Would these tanks give me trim issues since I would be carrying more weight on my back and less on my hips.

If this cylinder is the Faber that is rated at 3180 + 10%, I had one and sold it because I didn't like how it felt on my back. I felt very back heavy, and it wanted to roll me over all the time.
I love how my Faber FX100's trim out.
If you dive a drysuit, it may work out better than if you dive wet.

I dive that exact tank. It takes a few dives to get use to the trim but I have no problems.
