Exporting/importing dives in Suunto Dive Manager

Over the past few years I've had several Suunto computers, and use Suunto Dive Manager to store log info. I keep separate "logbooks" in SDM for different categories of dives. I'd like to move several dives from one logbook to another. Although there appear to be export and import functions in SDM, these don't appear to be compatible (i.e. they don't work with a common file format). So for the moment I'm stuck on how to export an individual dive from one logbook and import it in another.

If anyone has done this, can you walk me through the steps involved?

Or, if there's somewhere else on the web that's a hotspot for trading technical info on Suunto Dive Manager, could you clue me in?
