Did you draw your EGP cash at the ATM? If yes, it is important to know that you should always use the option "without conversion" (reject Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)). Otherwise that will generate additional charges.

Best money exchange that I have found in Hurghada is the one on Fondok that is pretty much in front of the Zak Inn - they are a very professional outfit.

as you are not going to spend much money in EGP if only for tips, you may also ask it at your dive center, there is of course a difference, but for changing 20 USD (+/- 600 EGP), is it important ?
