Ex Miami Dolphin fall off Boat - Swims 9 miles to shore

After looking at the pictures from the Silver Sailfish Derby (day 1 of the tournament was the day Konrad washed up in Palm Beach) it is clear that it would have been impossible to swim 9 miles in such conditions. He would not be able to see lights on the horizon in seas that big, and would have no idea of the direction he was headed.

How he ended up due west of where his boat washed up is another fact that would disprove his story.

Whatever, it seems like he is getting a pass on the whole thing.

In Denmark in 2005, a man survived 24 hours in 17 degree C water (62F) after falling of his boat. Still concious when rescued.
