I bought them on eBay and didn't ask if they were DOT. The seller said they were "in hydro" and I saw vis stickers on them. When they arrived I found that they were NOT in hydro, nor ever had been as they were non-dot and required special European valves (no burst disk). Shame as I was looking forward to having steel oxygen/dil bottles without spending 600+ on the pair

Did you report this to ebay and to your credit card company? People have tried to swindle me a couple times on eBay over the decades. I just report them to eBay and to my credit card company or to PayPal and it's all taken care of by them.
