Do the DM's in ANilao work on P500/day wage? This is interesting......I thought the trend was to pay DM's by each dive group.

Babydamulag:
What are the additional costs for PG? I have not seen the comparison to PG yet. What prices are you paying there?

now you ask.

well four your info, that is the reason why we are collating info this way so that parties interested may take the numbers/cost off from the actual rates being spent in Anilao so they may make a comparative STUDY.

a STUDY means they (others to whom this thread was created , and others maybe you, be given an idea as well) will see if it would be cost effective for them (considering their overhaeds, bookings, advertisments etc.) everyone wins in this exchage. although the entity this thread was made for is silent hehhehehe (an understandable reason of the silence, but they are monitoring this thread)

so this thread is more for INFORMATION of those who may see benefit arising from the information gleened from the guys posts in this thread.

other may see it as trash others with wisdom may profit from the information herein contained.

to each his own.

keep them info coming......

Local Dive guides and DM's in most resorts are paid P1000 for 2 dives and P600 for each additional dive per boat (5 pax). Manila based DM's usually charge P200 to P250 per dive per person. Those rates are for DM services only. Very few charge per dive, meaning including tanks, boats and dive guide for a specified amount. I think very few resorts in Anilao employ a DM on a full time basis. Most are freelancers that just have base resorts.

Okay. This is good info. It is interesting to read how much disparity exists between operations. I had heard that PG rates for diveguides was P500 per dive (3 dives in one day equals 3 X P500). The rates really bounce around for night dives. The diving customers we see typically do not worry too awful much about diving costs in the PI.

I don't care as long as it is reasonable..how much do you charge per dive?

I would like to say that this is a GREAT idea. Give all things being equal. Comparable Rooms, Beds, Aircon, Shower, and Food. We have an idea now the different rates of Resorts. As a result those resorts that offer excellent rates will have more customers
driving up their profits. And those that overprice will have to adjust their rates to compete.

This will benefit many divers that frequent PG and Anilao.

Your very Clever.

Our dive packages range from $20 per dive to sky is the limit. It depends on the customer's wishes. We try to cater to every desire the customer needs. Our clientele ranges from the average Joe to the more affluent customers. Our goal is to provide "all" levels of attention for the customer. This includes dive trips to sites that require overnight stays and the like. Average works out to about $20 per dive as a rule. Once we get the new boats and the new dive shop completed we'll be able to offer trips to sites farther out.

SO what's with the "I am not following the discussion?" ....LOL

DORs are generally attended by locals, talking about the prices non-locals pay in places that aren't PG or Anilao is directly contrary to the point of the thread.
