equipment, where to buy

i'm starting to do quite a few dives so i would like to buy a few items starting with a mask, fins and boots. i have been looking around the karon area of phuket and it seems a little expensive compared to what i could buy at home (england) through the internet. is there anywhere in the karon/kata or patong area that anyone could reccommend? im heading to koh tao next week so tht could be an option aswell.

Generally speaking all diving eqipment is grossly overpriced in Thailand. As you have quite rightly spotted You will get a much better deal back at home, also a greater selection to pick from.
