A question for those diving a single (with ANY type of valve) ... I use an H-valve on my singles.

CAN YOU REACH THE VALVE AND SHUT IT DOWN IF NECESSARY?
What happends when your o-ring on the tank fails?

...the slug pony can also be picked up and used by any diver on the wreck who needs it. It's there for safety only , I never plan on useing the pony.

Hmmm...What if a diver from another group ends up needing it and breaths it down (either totally or partially) and leaves it in the original position. If you come along later depending on that air...

This has obviously worked for you so far, but I would feel oogie about leaving an airsource unattended that I might need later, unless it was right under the boat as DA mentioned. At least then you have a chance to see bubbles if someone else was using it that is not from your group...
