• Option to have CCR Diluent (with/without Transmitter) to be in both "CC gases" and "OC gases" Lists. CCR Normal Dive and OC Bailout Modes.

- Display "CCR diluent" or "CCR Tx, diluent" for CC gas. Display "OC diluent" or "OC Tx, diluent" for OC gas. Use CCR Setpoint or Gas PPO2 for RGBM Calculations.

• Movescount App Displays Nitrox when Suunto Eon Steel Dive Computer was set as Trimix for CCR Dives.

You know you can adjust conservatism in water with the shearwater. So once you bail just set it to nutter manually.

I think assuming to go to nutter just because you bail would be poor planning but on the other hand when you need it you probably won't want to fumble with the settings. So?

The bailout plan calls for a more aggressive schedule. It is basically for a co2 hit and so the rate of gas use is high. You can only carry so much gas.

Manually messing with the settings while doing an OC ascent having had a CO2 hit... what could possibly go wrong? I find changing from CCR to OC hard enough,

Hi,

I talked to a Suunto representative at the Boot in Düsseldorf last Sunday, he confirmed a major SW updated for the Eon Steel in the first quarter of 2017. Originally Suunto planned to release the SW before the Boot but they didn't manage it in time. Bluetooth will be activated, no further details were revealed. He was very excited about it...

Still waiting.... surprised there is nothing yet. Can't wait though to see what they do with this. Wonder if by "1st" quarter it won't roll out until the very end of April or even later.

Interesting update:

With the software version 1.4.26, Suunto introduces multi-language support and wireless connectivity between Suunto EON Steel and Suunto Movescount App

Support for 14 languages
Suunto EON Steel is now available 14 in different languages. In addition to English you can now use it in Simplified Chinese, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

Mobile connectivity with Suunto Movescount
Suunto EON Steel connects wirelessly with Suunto Movescount App (available for iOS and Android). You can transfer your dive logs from Suunto EON Steel to Suunto Movescount over Bluetooth with the app. In Suunto Movescount, you can collect and share your diving adventures, build an all-inclusive dive history as well as enriching your dive logs with stories and photos. In addition, you can change EON settings straight from the app.

Modifying gas mixtures during dive
In emergencies, divers using multiple gas mixtures can now modify gases during the dive. This allows you to continue the dive and get correct decompression information on your EON Steel dive computer according the gas change.

Battery life improvement when device is not used
Deep sleep is a new function that lengthens battery life when Suunto EON Steel has not been used for two days. You can also adjust the standby time (between 1-5 minutes) after which the screen is turned off.

Customization improvement
You can now choose to have more data in the same view and still maintain good readability. With custom field pairs, it is easier to browse all these values. Field pairs are easier to organize on the display so you can see exactly the information you want to get during the dive.

Logbook improvement
Dive logs can now also be browsed by max depth and dive time (in addition to date/time).

Algorithm lock indicator
Suunto Fused™ RGBM algorithm is locked for 48 hours if you omit decompression stops for longer than three (3) minutes. In these situations, "LOCKED" is now shown on the screen instead of "ERROR."

Great. Has anyone managed to download yet? The upgrade is not visable in DM5 yet. Sidemount?
