ScubaKVDM, you missed so many facts, I'm not sure where to start, but here goes.

First: Drink water.
Second: Water's good.
Third: Gearing up is strenuous
Fourth: Falling in the water is not.
Fifth: But drinking water is still good
Sixth: Drinking the water you're falling into is not good.
Seventh: Who the hell's advocating unsafe diving?
Eighth: When you get out of the water you fell into, drink more water, but not the water you fell into. Otherwise you may get dehydrated.
Ninth: Dehydration causes headaches
Tenth: Headaches can be reasons not to dive again
Eleventh: By drinking water, you reduce the risk of dehydration.
Twelfth: By reducing the risk of dehydration, you reduce the risk of the bends
Thirteenth: Ergo, drinking water reduces the risk of the bends
Fourteenth: It's not what you say, but how you say it.
Fifteenth: A DM taking his reg out of his mouth so he can stick his tongue out for photo's sake is not safe, nor does it set a good example as you pointed out a DM should
Fifteenth: And while I may not be a doctor, I've seen well-hydrated ones on TV and not one of them ever had the bends.

And unless I'm really off the mark here, I'm going to leave it at that.

Good job. There's alot of extraneous stuff up there, but at least there's a glancing mention of an association between dehydration and DCS, and that's progress. Also, not to sound preachy or anything, but he numbering system that you used may be confusing to a fairly significant segment of the population who is used to seeing 16th follow 15th.

I'm gonna hit the hay soon, but I'll be back tomorrow if you want to work on it some more. Maybe we can work the connection between the energy drink and dehydration in there.

have ya heard?

the cops have a new side-of-the-road sobriety test. yeah, it was developed here on scubaboard.

here is what they ask:

"What bullet point comes after 'Fifteenth'?"

sample wrong answer and indication of being under the influence = 'Fifteenth'

I wouldnt be able to figure out how my gear goes together without my morning coffee! I drink coffee before every dive, but I also drink coffee everyday anywhere from 1-2 pots. I have read and understand that caffine is dangerous but it would be more dangerous for my dive buddies if I didnt.

:rofl3::rofl3::rofl3: (Oh, and I took the liberty of fixing the bulleting system ;))

That's it? That's the best you got? Not even an original thought?

KevDM already pointed that out, which I totally respect. I should have caught that, but somehow missed it. But come on, using someone else's find and calling it your own? Nosso original.
