Uhm, usually emirates is 30kg, or two pieces when flying to us destinations. Wife was cc past the years and we flew a lot with them to all over the place and never had baggage issues. Sure, sometimes they were quite lenient with staff travellers but other times we saw them really cut it at exactly 30kg, especially at outstations.. Always try to travel light and even when I travelled back from Mexico to Manchester for my IE with cold and warm water gear it was not any problems
