I think you're the victim of spellcheck. Unless some hair dryers include a device whose function is to comment on how you're doing at drying your hair. I suspect you meant commutator, but I now want a hair dryer that tells me "....aaaalmost there... OK, you're good - hair is dry."

pack a small surge protector to be safe. I have used one for laptops etc etc on multiple trips. Just peace of mind.

I have on that has been to Bonaire as many times as I have and I have never had an issue with electronics.

(its never tripped either), but I remember someone had an issue way back in one of the forum posts. Thats why I got it.
