Looking to modify a dive torch to have an external battery and need a suitable connector that can keep the water out under pressure.

Any suggestions please?
What kind of light? The EO is a worldwide standard even if a bit primitive and they don't last especially long.

Just this cheap light from China. Been using it for ages now for sump diving. Works fine but battery runs out after about 4 hours and I'd like to get that up to 12. It doesn't have to be wet pluggable. Its actual time underwater on any given trip would be no more than 1 hour and usually no deeper than 15-20m

By EO do you mean this?

I’m using bulgin px0410/0411 connectors for my heating system, after having replaced few broken EO cords.
If you do not plan to plug/unplug underwater, they work flawlessly, are cheap and easy to replace, without the need of replacing the complete cable.
I have tested them up to 90m so far.

Can you unplug them underwater?

Can you unplug them underwater?
Negative.

The water will (nearly) instantly wick/penetrate back through the cabling and flood your light head and battery canister. You can seal the cable ends with potting epoxy or potting silicon which *may* prevent the lighthead or battery canister from leaking in from the cable.
