Negative.

The water will (nearly) instantly wick/penetrate back through the cabling and flood your light head and battery canister
I have never tried unplugging underwater and those connectors are not meant for wet activities.
For me it works because I do not need any plugging/unplugging underwater.

In my configuration, I have a battery only for the heating system and I do not need to plug/unplug underwater.

Moreover, from a pure mechanical perspective, it might be hard with dry gloves to screw/unscrew the locking ring and have the two parts matching.

Kindly also consider that the EO cord permits the plugging/unplugging underwater because of the distance between the two poles and of the associated resistance.

With the connectors I am using such distance (and the consequent resistance path) is much shorter.
