Thank's Asser. Those buggers are a pain to get really close to. This partcular photo was taken on north Dedalus and we had two extraordinary dives there with a group of 6-7 hammerheads that came very shallow (15-20 metres) and also unusually close to the divers for that spieces. They stayed around us for more than 10 minutes. But, as anyone who has been underwater with a still camera knows - close is never close enough. To get high quality images you really need them to be "pissed-off-drill-sergeant-on-boot-camp"-close, as someone vividly expressed it on another forum. This particular photo is taken in 30 metres depth with a Sigma 10-20 zoom at 10 mm, and the distance to the shark was aproximately 3 metres. With some more time on this spot and these sharks on this particular trip, I am pretty sure more opportunities had arised for spectacular images. Needless to mention, the video people where grinning from ear to ear.
cheers
