never noticed the cool racing stripe where is it located?

It's on the side. I think the smaller Pioneer doesn't have it but I may be wrong.

i am looking at my friends pioneer now, no blue stripes. are these on the new pioneers?

Well like I said I'm pretty sure the smaller one's don't have it. Most likely because they don't need the extra material.

nope.

i had an sta for my old setup (DiveRite), and when i exchanged wings,
i just kept everything else the same.

The Pioneer has a rigid spine. A sort of built in STA.
