Where is the dive gear stored in the Genesis II?

No idea.
Because of my arrival at Batangas Pier I have only used those two ferries served by Island Water from Batangas to Balatero. The bags were stored inside the hull. Both vessels are modern and fast with ample of space. There were fleet of trikes awaiting for the passengers at Balatero. But being cheap I just walked out to the main road and stopped any trike passing by to Mulle for P20.00. Jeepney from Mulle to Sabang was further P20.00.

Ouch! Asia Divers just quoted me $US 290 for a private transfer from NAIA. Will sure be looking for less expensive ways to get back to Manila. So far I have companions to share the NAIA trip with, and the van transfer will indeed be the most painless option. Anyone else perchance arriving March 9th around 4 am?

US$290.00 = P15,000.00
The best time to avoid the notorious traffic in Manila is early morning.
Take the "expensive" yellow airport taxi to Buendia Bus Terminal, bus to Batangas Pier(P200.00), ferry across(P300.00) and trike to Sabang(P200.00). How much to pay for the porter depends where you are staying, P200.00 to Asia Diver in Small La Laguna. Should never ever cost more than US$30.00.

I have lived in the Philippines for the last couple of years.

Things simply don't work here the way you expect them to work back home.

This applies to a lot of things but to relate to the topic, ATM will run out of cash, stop working or reject an otherwise valid card on a regular basis. (Especially over Xmas and Holy Week before Easter, the responsible people simply do not fill the machines.) I always have sufficient cash to last a few weeks. Never run your cash on hand down to less than a couple days supply.

Time does not matter here at all either. The published schedules exist only to confuse the tourists. To get to Puerto Galera from Manila simply go to the bus terminal, get on a bus which will leave in about 15 minutes, go to the Batangas port an find the next boat to PG. It will depart within the hour. The bus is JAM and the terminal is at the corner of Buendia and Taft avenue.

You just get on the bus; they collect the fare on the move.

Bus fare less than 200 p ferry fare plus terminal fee less than 600 p or about $US16 total from Manila. Depending where in Manila you are, taxi can be up to 1,000 p, but if you are on Makati or at the airport expect it to be less than 500. (I use Grab almost exclusively, if you got a lot of gear just book a larger vehicle.) Two people should be able to go from airport to PG for about 2,000 p total ($US40)

Does anyone have current information for the Batangas to PG ferry schedule and the Sikat ferry/bus? I haven't been able to get the Sikat website to load for a couple days - just need the ferry for the trip to PG but the Ferry/Bus for the trip back - late March/early April. Thanks!
