Entry points.......the gravel is usually covered with water....most of it . To the left (in between the two divers and the group on the gravel) you can see the "anchor" point that is normally used for the floating dock.

that looks too crowded. I know lots of quarries in the area that we can sneak into for free. Or dive the Delaware River! Just getting a backup plan in mind.

raxafarian once bubbled...

that looks too crowded.

Rax .....that was Memorial Day weekend last year ....... lots of "check out/certification " diving was going.....

I am either splitting a room with ericfine50 or camping depending on whether or not camping is open yet. As for the logo stuff, since this is too much trouble, we can just bag it...who wants free publicity anyway?

I'm 1/2 way inbetween definately in and definately maybe....which means I'm closer to going than not going.

I'll decide in the next few days. I will likely want a hotel room, unless I can crash with a friend of mine in Allentown.

I'm definitely in.

I just got off the telephone with Dutch Springs.

Camping will be available if we request it. However, camping is subject to the following restrictions:

1. If you arrive on Friday, you will need to be inside the facility no later than 4:00 p.m. The gates close shortly thereafter. Once the gates close, you are there for the evening. No fence jumping.

2. If you are delayed, you must call Dutch Springs and let them know. They will allow you to camp outside the fence for that evening.

3. If you arrive on Saturday, you must be inside the fence no later than 6:00 p.m. Once they close the gates, you're in for the night.

4. Dutch Springs will keep the restrooms and shower facility open all night if we let them know in advance that someone will be camping.

5. Dutch Springs staff cautioned me that the reason camping doesn't open until May is because April is usually cold and the ground is still wet from snowmelt.

Please let me know ASAP if you intend to camp and get a head count. I'd prefer PM's so that I don't accidentally miss a post in the thread.

I don't think being shut in would be all that fun and I am sure a number of us will want to go out to dinner, etc. I will make the necessary arrangements for a motel room...

since camping seems like more trouble than it would be worth....

what kind of rates are you guys finding?

I did a quick search and came up with $69.00/night at the Fairfield inn (2 doubles), and $84.00/night at the courtyard (2 queens OR 1 king and sofabed).

Bargain basement (within 8 miles, or so) would be econolodge, red roof inn, HoJo, and days inn .... ranging from 51.00 to 59.00
