Which suit is better for the money or better in general? I'm looking at all membrane suits. The DUI, 50/50, tls 350, clx 450, and the Norther Diver Cortex. Which suit in your opinion is the best for the money?

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!

Let me know if you are a DUI or Northern Diver Dealer.

thanks,

jtrain

What type of diving are you doing? From your location, I assume you are not doing much cave diving. SO, is it wrecks, or just recreational diving, or what...

The CLX-450 is a little tougher than the nylon suits, and is a good choice. I would add kevlar knee pads and you should be all set.

I havent seen a northern diver suit in a few years, so I am not sure what they are making nowadays... IMO, from what I have seen , DUI puts together a nice package. I would suggest the CLX_450...

It depends on what sort of diving your doing...

If it's something where the suit is likely to get ripped, your going to be better off with a heavier material. But heavier suits are bulkier, and dry slower.

Personally I just bought a TLS 350, the lightweight material is fine for the dives I do.

In the end fit is the most important thing, and if your not an off the rack size and you have limited funds the Northern diver might be a better option, since they have a very large range of sizes. I'm sure Bob3 could provide more info.

ERP,

Did you get your TLS 350 yet?

How does it compare to your USIA?

It arrived Saturday, I've trimmed the seals and fought with the dryglove rings so it's all ready to dive.

Short of getting it wet (which I hope to do this week), I'm really happy with it, I got exactly what I ordered (for a while there I was woried) including the pockets where I wanted them and the relocated exhaust valve.
The fit is good, I have excellent range of movement, and it's very lightweight. I'll let you know what think after I dive it.

You are missing several manufactureres, Whites, Andy's, Diving Concepts, Ocean Vendors, Moby's. Now some of those are not at the top of my list, but Oncean Vendors, Andy's and Diving Concepts are nice suits. I'd take the Diving Concepts over the ND any day.

No Gates or Viking either...

And I'd take my Gates ProVSN 1100 over a DUI. Any day... DUI is nice... Don't get me wrong. But I like my Gates much better then the TLS 350 and the 50/50. And the CLX450 is the one I'd like in DUI... But at $1000 more then my Gates.... And I like my Gates a little better.... I'll keep the Gates any day.....

The gates looks interesting. Does the company have a website? Is there a california distributer?
