I am going to the DUI Demo Day at Gilboa the weekend of Sept 16th. Anyone else going? I am planning on going for the whole weekend to Gilboa.

Has anyone else ever been to this event before? I wanted to make a reservation for a camp site but found out they only take reservations for the electric sites and the rest of the sites are first come first serve. Do all the sites usually get taken up? If so would I still be able to get a site early Friday like around noonish? I'm asking all of this because this will be the first time I've attended one of these before and I'm about 4 hrs away and I want to make sure I get there soon enough to get a site.

Gilboa on weekends are very, very busy to start with. Then you add an event such as this and it really becomes a zoo. All I can say is get there as early as possible. Expect a lot of people and very bad viz. Enjoy..

Have you ever seen the campgrounds completely full?

The so called campground also serve as parking. People not staying the night will be parked in camping spots. Yes I have seen it full. Every weekend. It is not a campground like you typically see.

once everyone starts to clear out for the night there are plenty of spots to pitch your tent, or worst case sleep in your car...

AL248..

I have attended the DUI rally the past 2 years. I cannot speak for the campground areas, but IT is a VERY busy day there. I would guess 2 to 3 times the normal crowd. Especially if the weather is nice. Another option is the Rodeway Inn, in Findlay..around 40 bucks a night.
