Going to be sad when mine reaches the point of replacement. So following this with interest! Has anyone tried to alter a wing so that instead of cam band slots its a wide hole like the DSS so you don't have to unthread the bands? Such a nice feature!
I’m right with you on this.

Sadly, I might have to re-learn how to thread a tank strap buckle.

I'm looking for a travel wing to fit my DSS BP

Well I'm left handed and at times slightly dyslexic so that band threading thing is not my favorite either
I completely understand and sympathize as I live in the same world...

I’m about to order one. May I correctly assume they still have the tank band slots to align with my DSS Kydex plate? Hard to tell from the pictures.

I have a Torus 17 from Tobin, not sure which of the VDH ones to get. My 17 is just enough for me, my pole spear and a tube full of lionfish. The 23 will give me 6 or so more lift, which should be fine. But the 35 is only 2 inches difference in size, so why not go that way?

As I understand it, the "recent" generation of the VDH wings lengthened the cam band webbing slots some. I think I have both versions, and I dive DSS long and X-long plates...

I am somewhat dumbfounded by the sheer number of failures reported and/or repairs required for DSS wings. Is it a design or material issue? If I recall the bladder is not accessible on some models. In other words, you have to cut (destructively) the outer shell to replace the bladder. My advice is to buy a VDH wing. @Bryan@Vintage Double Hose
