So maybe a silly question, but how do you add weight to a DSS BP+W? Is it meant to be used with a weight belt? It doesn't seem that DSS makes weight pockets. Does anyone make some that fit well? What's the deal?

If you'd like my input I'd suggest posting in the DSS forum. I don't always see every post in every forum.

I will again suggest that you first determine the buoyancy of your exposure suit.

This is the starting point for selecting a wing, and it will also give you a pretty good idea about how much ballast you need.

For cold water application the SS plate is first piece of "integrated weight" that BP&W offers.

If you need a great deal more ballast than your plate, empty tank, regulator and harness provides we also offer bolt on weight plates.

Speculating about how to add ballast when we don't know how much you really need is getting the cart before the horse.

If the plate and weight plates won't do it, you can also put weight pockets on the waist belt, wear a weight belt or harness, or put weight pockets on the cambands. XS Scuba makes some nice weight pockets that fit on 2" webbing. Trident makes some, also, but they are larger in exterior dimensions and don't hold any more than the XS Scuba ones.
