My only worry could be the inflater button freezing, I heard a horror story where someone's inflater button got frozen open while ice diving and died from hitting his head on ice over the lake.

Right, I wasn't sure if inflater's varied from BCD to BCD. It would be rather tricky to pull the dump valve while disconnecting the quick connect. I wonder what the odds of survival are for that situation.
You might want to research that incident a bit more.
As I described to you via PM, we use a generic inflator that is widely used on many wings sold today.
It is important for operation in very low temp water to make sure you have very dry air, be careful where you get fills.

Have you ice dived?
You don't have to bother. No I haven't, but I do respect the opinions of SwampDiver at TDS. In his opinion, gas for Ice diving needs to have a much lower moisture content than is typically specified for scuba.
I'll see if I can provide a link to his posts on the subject.

If it was the rockport accident in Ontario, then we know of that one. (and your details are a little off). If that is not the one, oops on our point.Well if you guys like I could find out a bit more about the incident. I have a friend that knows the dive buddy of the deceased. I'm fairly certain it happened a long time ago though.
I lived. Thanks to Mark (Bridgediver) on this board. Which is to say, I didn't handle it very well.JeffG you said this happened to you. If you don't mind telling, I'm curious as to how you handled it.
