I got a pair of fleece socks from REI. (www.rei.com) I'm sure other outdoor sporting places would have them as well. They are advertised as socks to be worn with your TEVAS or other sandals.

I don't don my fleece socks until I'm putting my drysuit ON. If wet, I may try to wipe my feet on some thing first, but if not, a little moisture is OK. The fleece keeps me warm and dry.

I've put on fleece pants and sweatshirt before, while still dripping wet, I must have forgotten my towel. I seem to some how dry off just fine. I'm thinking the same works with the socks when I'm using them with my drysuit.

OH yeah, I do (did??) have a pair of the DUI "socks"... I've never worn them on an acutal dive. They just don't work well for me; they are way, way too bluky and they made it difficult for me to put on my rock boots. Actually, I couldn't get my rock boots ON with the DUI booties on!!! I have a very high arch, and I've had this problem with other gear, ski boots, fins, regular shoes. I would never buy the DUI socks again, nor would I recommend them to anyone WITH A HIGH ARCH, such as myself. Although I'm very happy with my DUI drysuit and other underwear. (Very... very ... VERY happy with my 50/50 drysuit!!)

Thanks for everyone help. I went to a dive shop and they had these booties with nylon lined bottoms. Look nice, I ask the price, they said $80. I said no.

I checked out http://www.rei.com and I think for under $15 I can find something. Maybe 2 pairs, when the first gets wet I have a backup.

I finally solved my cold/wet feet problem. Drysuit wasnt leaking so couldnt understand why i had them after every dive.

Problem traced this weekend - i wear snowboarding socks under my weezle booties. This was making my feet sweat a lot which then went cold. This weekend i dived with just the Weezle booties and stayed warm and dry. They're good at wicking at well so outside moisture from a wet floor or otherwise tends not to get into the feet at all.

Failing that... Put plastic bags over your feet while kitting up so you dont get the wet floor
