I remember reading a post a while back about someone taking a DCS hit and thinking it had something to do with a drysuit gaiter being on to tight. I tried to search for it but could not find it anywhere. Does anyone else remember any details of this?

Thanks
Phil

I've read that as well
something to do with restricting the blood circulation

OK, well at least I know that I am not just imagining things...

I wish I could find it...

1st. it's one of the few things I agree on with DIR. Don't use gaiters, they have no real use.they are a bandaid for a non problem.Been diving drysuits for over 20 years now and never had a use for them, nor for ankle weights for that matter.

2nd. there is some mention on DCS and gaiters in a 2003 and 2005 DIR thread, but neighter one of them as far as I could find, had any serious replay's to them.

hope it helps a bit.

cheers,

Evert
