I'm 5'10" 175 lbs. I use 24 lbs (& could probably get rid of about 2 lbs) with my tri-lam & single alum. 80. Someone mentioned the DUI harness. I had one laying around for about a year a buddy gave me, I finally tried it out. I'll never go back to a belt, that system is awesome & it doesn't bother your lower back on those marathon dives (1hr. +) like a belt does.
As far as Buoyancy I've done it both ways. I used to use the suit than had someone suggest I try it the other way (just get rid of squueze then use bc). I found I like this way much better. There is less air in the suit to travel around (ie- to your feet) making it easier to control your trim.
