I was wondering if anyone can help me with a dry suit repair problem. I have a Trilam Tech Dry suit and I just noticed that on my right neoprene arm seal, on the rubber side of the seal there is a small rip, about 3mm. The suit doesn't leak since the rip is not deep but I want to repair it before it is too late. I was wondering if I can close the rip with Aquaseal or is there a better product.

If it's a tear in the neoprene, I would use neoprene cement.

It's on the rubber side of the arm seal, not the neoprene side. I don't know if it makes a difference.

The seal is made of neoprene and it sounds like yours has the nylon facing on one side.

If it's a fissure in the neoprene (foam) rubber material of the seal then part it so it opens, apply 2 coats of neoprene cement allowing the usual dry time and bring the faces together. I had a nick o a wrist seal and it's been fine since 2006 with such a repair.
