Thanks Bob, I bought the bug light used on eBAy.
It's the aluminum version, not plastic.
It had a flood, the mirror surface was bubbled and blistered.
I sand blasted it, polished and had it re-aluminized by a company that does head light reflectors for GM.
Then I machined the front face of the casting to get it flat and solve the leak problem. I replaced the reid switch and added some electronics to control bulb voltage. It's been to 150 ft no problems
I like them because , they're almost indestructable.
Like a Harley, you never scrap em, just rebuild em!
It's my back up light.
I have a 50 watt halogen canisater as my prime.
