Hey Sauerpuss, thanks for the email. the following is a breakdown of how the removeable dry ring system works. I have this system on my backup suit (my new suit has permanent rings) and it has worked very well for me. You don't have to send in your suit, you can do it yourself, and you can switch back to wet if you feel so inclined. The biggest advantage of permanent rings is that the latex seals under the rings are removeable/replaceable.
Dry Glove Quick Clamp System
The simple Quick Clamp system enables you to adapt any drysuit with latex wrist seals to the dry glove system. And a damaged glove floods just your glove and not your suit - an easy, inexpensive replacement.
