Diving Concepts rings can be easily uninstalled (much easier that installing!) and leave the seals in good shape.
Thanks, I think that's the way I'm going to go.

Now if I can just decide on Weezle Extreme vs. 400g Thinsulate....

Sigh.

Do what Uncle Pug did and get someone to make you a custom fit set of underwear. It costs about the same.

Another option is just to buy ski/snowboarding wear. It is often cheaper.

I just picked up a set of drygloves from Simply Scuba that are under the name Oceanic. The price was good and darned if they didn't look like the Diving Concepts set. I received them yesterday. They are actually a set from Bluepoint, www.bluepoint.de. As far as I can tell they are the DC set just missing the ring that goes over the outer o-ring on the glove. It was $84 for the set to my door. I would be interested to hear from someone who is putting a set of DC gloves on currently if the suit side ring is embossed with bluepoint down in one of the o-ring grooves. Now that I have this set on, anyone looking for a set of SI Tech rings.

By the way, Bare's ring set is SI-Tech. That is where I got my last dry glove set. Hate 'em.

Hi Uncle pug and oothers!!

There is away to get those dang dry gloves installed easier than with turning the sleeve inside out!

All you do is hold the arm in the normal position and slide one of o-rings in through the top and push it in a few inches from the base of the seal. Now fold the seal inwards on to itself, now the seal should appear to be shortened with a rib in it ( from the o-ring). Next you need a second person for this, take the docking section wich stays inside of the suit with the other helper and physically stretch the o-ring seal over it until you lockit into the last groove!!

Now reach in a pull the the seal out and it is basically installed just put your final o-ring on the out side as you would normally and you are done.

The first few times you do it you will loose skin on your knuckles but it get easier every time !! This technique works especially well for Bare suits because their forearm material is alway's more tapered than everyone else's. I Have a cf200 works great and saves so much time..

Hope this helps you guys !!

I tried that once but was trying to do it by myself... I will give it another try with a helper..... If I ever need to do the proceedure again... which fortunately I don't have to worry about at this point :D

Your method sounds much more difficult to me. Two people? Blood?
Why are you installing and uninstalling the ring set so often?

Actually the process is fast under 5 minutes total.

I work in a dive shop and the main reason was because of the Bare suits they are tapered as noted in above post!
:)

Also the standard way of doing it is a whole lot slower when you put in alot of them;)

Everytime I pull the sleeve back out the o-ring which was on the inside groove pulls inself into the middle groove. I left it that way and put the outside o-ring in the third groove... Hopefull a little silicone greese on the glove o-ring will make it easier to don/doff and I won't end up pulling the dang rings off again.....

I know there are some glove models that do not use the suit seal to link the glove to the suit.

In other examples the rings are permanently installed on the suit, thereby leaving the seals intact in case of a glove and or ring failure. I thought the Bare model was like this.

You are correct...

I have a Bare Trilam ATR HD w/ the permanently installed SI-Tech Dryglove system. Very easy to put on/off, very nice...when diving in warmer water I just use my drygloves without any liners....
