Hello readers:

In my experience, the greatest negative factor to post-dive alcohol is the sedative effect. Divers are less aware and tend to dismiss some negative aspect of their body.

There are numerous stories of divers presenting at treatment facilities after hours of drinking. By then, bubbles in the blood vessels have had hours to deprive the nerves of oxygen, and the diver is worse for it.:no

But rum has such a calming affect! Plus it dissolves bubbles better
