Just tried alcohol or have you tried actual skin prep pads? I haven't had a single blowout since I started doing a full tip-to-base wipe down and let dry with these prior to suiting the little guy up:

I am same on this. Those things are magic.

Cut. Was thinking the same that having one might make a difference in this application.

Tried using adhesive further towards the tip and in the cup of the cath and while that often works, sometimes it is literally a pain, and more often only takes a couple hours longer to pull out of it.

If urobond adhesive could be used I've tried just about every possible skin surface, stopping just short gluing myself shut.

Would be interested in the technique you developed.
The duct tape joke someone made isn't far off. First, I use the Skin-Prep wipes as @Badger7 describes. But then I make a single wrap of medical tape around the circumference right around where--and this in medical anatomical terminology of course--where the head meets the shaft. Medical tape is really amazing stuff--holds fast, yet doesn't hurt much when you remove it. I buy it at the dollar store. Don the cath after that. It seems to resist the turtle.
