The Caribbean isn't done yet for this year. Hurricane Keith, Mitch....formed right in the Caribbean. There is a lot warm water there now.

The worst of all, Wilma , also formed first in the Caribbean in Oct 2005. Yes it can happen anywhere but as you may have noticed we have policies to mitigate the consequences to our divers and hotel guests.

A dive trip to the Caribbean in September, what could go wrong?

I believe Mr. Dave is offering a guarantee...which is quite unusual in the dive operation business. It's a good deal.
Only if you return and use the rain check. he still keeps your money.

I'm not sure that's what he's saying....I got the impression that he doesn't take your money for the missed dive in the first place...
I'm sure he'll be along soon to clarify this.

Divers don't pay until the end of their trip, so if you didn't go on a dive you don't pay. Dave does not keep the divers money, because he never collected it in the first place.

But like most sympathetic shops should do, Aldora Divers and the Villa Aldora offer "Hurricane Insurance". That is: If you miss a day of diving because of even the threat of a hurricane we of course don't charge you for the missed day but issue a raincheck for free-- anytime in the future for all missed dives. In addition, if you are staying at the Villa Aldora you will not have to pay for lodging for the days missed.

I see what he is saying now. he is rain checking to comp for the wasted airline fare's to get there. good way to do business as PR goes.

Yes, we do not take money from anyone until after they have finished diving (except for as mall deposit which is refundable). Lets say you reserved 5 days of diving and fly down. You dive one day then get blown out because of even the threat of a hurricane. You only pay for the one day you did dive and we issue you credit for 4 more dives when you can return and not pay a dime. Same with the Villa Aldora, if you don't get to dive and have to spend a few more nights at the Villa Aldora those extra nights are free. That happens all the time even when it is only delayed flights, or ice storms in Dallas. Fair-Simple?
