Right now Hou to Cancun is $98 each way and United is matching it fro IAH. Best of all times to visit Cancun/Cozumel

What dates are you seeing? I will book through Houston!

I just checked some random dates in April. ATL->CZM on Delta is $835 (main cabin). IAH->CZM on Delta is $567 (coming through ATL). That just bugs the ever-living-snot out of me.

Geez, you can fly from Pittsburgh to Cozumel and stay at a resort for around $1200 in May 2018.

Yep - that was my experience going from Coz to Chicago one year. As crazy as this sounds, it is often true and has been my experience. Try booking a flight to IAH and then a separate flight from IAH to CUN - there is no rhyme or reason to the fares sometimes. It may or may not be cheaper in this case - but worth a try.

Also I know fares are also based on demand, so certain times or year from certain hubs are also higher. And trying to book April flights right now is going to be one of the higher fare windows. I would put an alert on it and watch it. Right now they have seats wide open I would imagine so the fare is still at a premium. It's a game. Good luck!

My experience is that airline prices are set by drunken sailors with dart boards. I have alerts with Kayak for about 85 or more destinations. The one thing I don't do is set alerts from nearby cities. One year, my wife and I saved over $400 by flying out of BHM to FCO, instead of direct of our of ATL. We got on the same flights out of ATL, but got more miles for less money. It wasn't bad going there, but coming back almost wasn't worth the savings.
