have a strange question...

if i'm done reading my mail, and have gone through my subscribed SB posts as well as browsed the various forums for anything along my interests... what next?

would you guys have any suggestions of where i can surf too that's diving related? i've "window shopped" some of the internet LDSs here (scubatoys, leisurepro, etc.) as well as the manufacturer sites... and all i see is either gear i don't need (fins), stuff i don't want (mares hub... ugh), items i wouldn't know how to use if you shoved it up my bum (over pressure valve) or toys i want bad but can't afford (Suunto D9... mmmmmmm)

i'm over the whole bigjugs-dot-com phase so don't bother suggesting porn (unless you know a real cool site that's free AND doesn't install spyware on your PC)

sigh... need surf targets

Yup ... I'm facing the same problem ...

Have you tried the divernet website? If you look here you can find some cool gear comparisions ...

If you find anything cool, please post a reply :) - I could use some refferences too :)

hi there
you could always log on to other diving forums from different parts of the world, i found 2 smaller forums before i found this one
both are relativy small, who know's
i enjoy my time on either site, nice friendly peeps

how about looking at possible future diving holidays/ trips
or even take a look at where others have been
i have just come back from a 2 week trip to the maldives to an island called helengeli
http://www.helengeli.com/
i had the best time there, and i'm planning to make a 3 week trip there next year

You've read all the archives?? :yourkiddi

There is enough here to keep you busy for a few months easy!! ;)

actually i'm also a member of another user-driven site... www.divingobsession.com has the pretty cool feature of having international dive data directly created by the users... and you earn points from it... that's how i won my apollo splits

but the actual discussion forum is pretty tame... not much action... strangely i got my referral to SB from there

i do know of the immense resource that SB is... it's just that i filter the relatively old ones out to reduce clutter and some other reasons:

most sub forums are really not my thing: (e.g. texas diving, cold diving, DIR, RB, etc etc etc)
many get long, convoluted and political and actually resolve nothing
a lot of the equip threads just make me drool

you know what i mean... don't have the patience to be a greeter either

Maybe you could go dive???? Always a good way to spend a few hours, then post back on here what you saw/found, other things you discovered about your diving, etc. The archives do have a lot in them, but its hard to trawl through unless a topic up for discussion now piques your interest to give you a more defined search.
