I've never been to uni, but I went on a cruise once and i"ll bet thats what uni is like everyday, except you have to turn up to something other than the lunch buffets that i did there...sad as it may seem, at 21, I'm a bit over the whole boozing it up daily thing. I wore myself out doing that and going through a few alcohol poisioning episodes (not fun!) from the age of 15 to 20..(americans, its not as bad as it looks, our legal drinking age is 18 remember!) after having to skip the uni thing and work full time a year after i got outa high school, I dont think it will be the same for me if i end up going one day! my fiance does tell me a lot of amusing tales about his american uni however lol I agree with you 'party poopers' as well though, you have to know where to draw the line with drinking..i dont agree about the fake id's though, they seem ok in your country's case..21 is pretty old to be legal, you can drive and own a gun before then, and you know they will drink before 21 anyway, it just means they will be silly and deceitful for longer...a 21 year old here is a lot more mature about alcohol than a typical 21 year old american..i find i cant socialise well when alcohol is involved, with many americans under 23, besides my fiance, who is 21, and even he is silly about booze at times. I know if my kids (if/when i have them) grow up in the US, i wont hold anything against them if they drink when they are 17 to 21, i would prefer to have everything out in the open and have them used to it so they dont act like a tool at 21 years of age lol
