I tried to go that way when I was shopping for a hard-sole boot last november, but unfortunately none of the local stores had them big enough for my feet and I ended getting the scubapro boots (the only ones I could find big enough for my feet)

When I go to Bonaire I always wear my Chucks with my wetsuit!! GREAT for gripping the ironshore and all the shore diving on Bonaire.
