I know a guy whose solo dives are all initialed "SB". Apparently, it stands for "solo buddy", "sans buddy", or something like that, but if he has an anti-solo logbook nazi to deal with, "SB" is "Sidney Buckner"... after all, diving solo sid buckner system...

I can't remember the last time I logged a dive and I doubt I could find my old logbook if I tried.

There's not much of a purpose in it for me.

If I was signing solo dives, I'd have to sign "SOB". :D

I'm bad. After like my 6th log book, I said what the hay. When your diving with someone new out of the US and in the US as far as that is concerned I've been asked to see a log book a few times. But I'm lucky enough to have a boat loads of different C-cards and they wave you off.

I still fill out my log book but I don't count every up and down anymore. Only if I'm doing different sites in the same day will I use a separate page. Otherwise each day counts as 1. I get my students to sign my book or whomever I am diving with. If I am solo then there is noone to sign, but I will note that it was a solo dive.

Most of my dives are logged, I think I got lazy at the end of my last Key's trip and missed a couple, but I'll get those from my BF during our next trip.

so far ive logged all my dives i like to keep a race up with my roommate to see who has the most bottome time and dives

I like to draw maps. If I dive a really cool site that has unusual coral formations or swim thrus, I will sketch out a rough map in my log. I do the same for penetration points and interior layouts on wreck dives.
