I just want to share a bad experience with my regulator
Bought an expensive TOP of the LINE regulator Air Max back in 1997.
Regulator perfermed well over the years, had been maintained and checked annualy by a professional dive shop
Recently the purge valve broken and it has been just impossible to get a replacement part for this regulator. 80% of the diving shops in the Miami area agreed that parts for cressi-sub is dificulty to find and they are DISCONTINED FASTER than any other manufacture ... ( I just wish there was a law that enforce manufactures to have spare parts for a good period of time)
So, I paid a big BOX for a regulator that now it is NO use because a little "plastic cover" broken
My advise = SITCK with any other BRAND, you will not be sorry when replacements parts is needed...
BTW. Yes I contacted Cressi-Sub Italy, and I got an answer from an USA "AOL" user that said:
"The Cressi-sub regulator is an Air Max, however, parts have not been available for around 7 yrs.
Sorry about that. Cressi USA"
If Cressi Sub did not have parts available for 7 years, that means in the year 2000 on which my regulator was about 3 years old they ALREADY did NOT have parts available
THINKING ON BUYING CRESSI SUB REGULATOR ???? THINK AGAIN !!!!
