How does the tube stand up to salt water? I use pieces of bicycle tube for light retainers on my harness, and they fall apart and need replacement more-or-less annually.

Is that from the salt, or the UV? I always assumed it was the uv. If it's in a cover, the UV should not be an issue.

Could be the UV, and it could be that the tubes I'm using are old and used to begin with. I didn't give it much thought before jumping to the "salt water" conclusion, but UV makes a lot of sense.
