Hello all,

I'm new around here and I enjoy DIY projects. In the process of building a tank roller and I like the idea of an ice cream motor, think I'll go that route. Anyway, if you happen to have a metal lathe ( I'm fortunate enough to own one) it will work in a pinch to roll the tank. I just had to roll a steel 72 to bring it back to life...
it was a freebie.

my 2 cents worth,

My two year tumbler project finally was concluded last night:

I have a proclivity for wood and bolts. After a previosuly failed design I shelled out for the pillow block bearings which added a considerable amount to the cost of the tumbler, but it works, so I'm a happy camper. Total cost, $250-$300, since I no longer remember how much some of the parts I bought two years ago cost...

Just tested out a great idea for a tumbler.

Set up a board and some rollers and put the tank on mytreadmill. Works great as a tumbler, and the variable speed is real nice.
